P1 PANTHERS HEADING TO KEY WEST

The P1-28SS Panthers will make their mark in Key West for the first time this week at the 19^th Annual Key West Offshore Poker Run hosted by the Florida Powerboat Club.

At least three Panthers will make the trip to Key West courtesy of the official logistics partner of the international series, Peters and May. The Panthers will participate in the Poker Run including a pleasure version of the Panther with the rear cowl removed and the additional back seats in place. Plans for a boat to display on land rather than water are also in the works.  

Three SuperStock teams, Ocala Gran Prix, Peters and May and Oregon Custom Marine will be attending the event. All three teams raced in the 2011 P1 SuperStock USA season and will race again in 2012.

The Key West Poker Run is a great opportunity to promote the P1 SuperStock Championship as the series is expected to grow in the 2012 season. The Panthers will be docked at the Poker Run Village with informational handouts available to create awareness of the young series.

Over 160 poker run teams with boats of all shapes and sizes from the United States, Canada, and Europe have signed up to participate in the event. The 165 mile course starts in Miami, travels through the scenic Florida Keys and finishes in Key West.
