Hull gets thumbs up

In a recent poll amongst fans and racers, Hull in  the north east of England, was voted the best P1 SuperStock venue of 2011, with Liverpool and Morehead City in the US close behind.

Located on the River Humber, Hull played host to the P1 SuperStock Championship in July. The close-up racing and the magnificent Humber Bridge made for an impressive back-drop to the high octane boat racing action.

The newly re-developed Hull Marina also scored highly with visitors. The clean, accessible venue played host to the thousands of fans that lined the waterfront to cheer on the racers as they skimmed past the river wall.   With the race village  in the heart of the city vibe was electric, with the marine action  augmented by a carnival atmosphere.
