CHECK THE SKIES NEAR PWLLHELI

As you're heading towards Pwllhelli this weekend you'll also want to keep an eye towards the skies as you could be in for a treat. We've not gone all Bill Oddy on you, far from it. We've still got our petrolhead boots firmly on as these birds are a different breed.

North Wales is prime spotting for the latest in military aircraft and it's firmly inside the RAF's tactical training area. As you head to the peninsula where Pwllheli is located you may have the chance to see some low-flying aircraft such as Hawks and Tornados soar only a few metres off the hill-sides.

It's a spectacular display, so keep your eyes peeled.
